The Architect of Stitch
Vladimir Teriokhin is an independent knitwear designer based in New York.
With a background as a professional ballet dancer at the Bolshoi, Vladimir possesses a rare, intuitive understanding of the human body in motion. This "kinetic" perspective allows him to create knitwear that defies gravity, moves with the wearer, and maintains impeccable structure.
In 2016, he co-founded Spencer Vladimir, a luxury label that redefined hand-knit couture and was featured in Vogue, Barneys New York, and Net-a-Porter. Today, he continues to push the boundaries of what yarn can achieve.
During Fashion Week, Vladimir has contributed to designers’ collections by translating conceptual ideas into executable knitwear solutions while preserving the original design intent.
His work was featured in The New York Times, which described him as a “secret knitwear weapon” of Fashion Week.

“Knitwear is a living matter. You are creating the fabric and the shape of the garment at the same time. There is no room for error in the calculations, but there is infinite space for magic”. —
